Payments & signing

Signed and paid the same day you sell

Turn a yes at the kitchen table into a signed agreement and a cleared deposit before you pull out of the driveway.

The problem

The sale is made at the table, but the money shows up days later, if at all. The agreement goes out as a PDF, the deposit check goes in the mail, and every day in between is a day for buyer remorse and a competitor callback.

The WindowEdge answer

Sign and pay in the same sitting as the sale. The quote becomes the agreement, the homeowner signs it in her portal, and the deposit clears by card or bank through QuickBooks Payments or Stripe.

The payment schedule is set at signing, so the balance and any financed monthly amount are known before anyone leaves. The job hits the project rail funded, and she books the measure herself.

What you get

  • Signature and deposit happen in the same sitting as the sale, from one branded portal
  • Card or bank (eCheck) deposits through QuickBooks Payments or Stripe
  • Payment schedule and financed monthly payment set at conversion, not reconstructed later
  • Every payment attempt logged and reconciled, so the office stops matching checks to jobs

Questions dealers ask

How does the homeowner sign?

They open the agreement in their branded Homeowner Portal and follow a guided e-signature ceremony that walks them through each initial and signature. The signed document lands in their document vault and on the project record at the same time.

What payment methods can homeowners use?

Card or bank transfer (eCheck), processed through QuickBooks Payments or Stripe, whichever your business already uses. Deposits and scheduled payments run through the same portal.

Can we set a payment schedule instead of a single deposit?

Yes. The schedule is chosen when the quote converts to a sold job: deposit, progress payments, and final balance. If the homeowner is financing, the monthly payment is calculated server-side and shown on the agreement.

What happens after the deposit clears?

Project Management moves the job onto the delivery rail and the homeowner can self-schedule their measure from the portal. Your coordinator sees a funded job with a booked measure instead of a PDF and a promise.
